Wordle Assistant

Use the Wordle assistant to help you solve Wordle puzzles.

The "Best next guesses" section shows you the best guesses to make next, where "best" means the words that are most likely to leave the fewest possible words remaining.

How to use this assistant

  1. Choose a word to guess.
  2. Enter it into your Wordle game.
  3. Enter the results into "Past guesses".
    1. Tap the word you guessed in the list, or type it in manually.
    2. Set the status of each letter by selecting the letters you just entered (click or left/right arrow keys), and then setting the status (click again, or up/down arrow keys).
    3. Submit the result by pressing "Enter" or the symbol on the on-screen keyboard.
  4. Choose another guess.

This assistant relies on the rs-wordle-solver Rust library, running in your browser via web assembly. It computes the expected number of possible words that will remain after guessing each unguessed word. The 100 best guesses are then shown to you in a list.

The list of possible words is taken from the allowed words list on the NYT Wordle website. Some of these are highly questionable, and unlikely to be the Wordle answer, but they are perfectly valid guesses.
